Kate Marie Grinold
One of my first projects at Jennings Public Relations & Advertising was some pro bono work for a Miss America pageant contestant. Kate Marie Grinold was Miss District of Columbia and my favorite to take the crown. Unfortunately there is only one winner in the competition and it went to Miss Indiana.
Prior to the pageant, TLC hosted a short run reality show called Countdown to The Crown. It didn’t get a ton of press but it might have been worth watching anyways. Kate got a little press in it.
Kate really liked her web site and it still surprisingly gets a semi-significant amount of traffic. She also hosts a blog where you can follow some of her experiences related to the Miss America Pageant.
