Before I was employed at Jennings Public Relations & Advertising I picked up some volunteer web design projects. One of the first was for my local Knights of Columbus council. They wanted something very simple where members could go to pick up the essentials (rosters, meeting minutes, etc.) and where someone looking to join a local organization in Blue Springs could find out more about the Knights.
I rarely have time to update the site but do the best I can. I seem to have transferred most of the updates to my dad.
On this project, the logo was a real challenge. I didn’t like the way it looked and it didn’t lend itself well to a clean modern web layout. Without going too far from the original branding, I simplified the logo to two colors and removed some of the graphical elements. I believe the newer logo for this council is more recognizable, cleaner, and more easily understood.
