This was the first website I ever built up from scratch. It took me a lot longer than anticipated, didn’t work well at first, and was a huge challenge for me. This project probably taught me more about web design than any other, and gave me a great overall appreciation for the field.

I had previously done a lot of design work for websites, but never really looked at what it took to build the entire thing. I would get to one point, think I was finished, and realize I was missing so much.

The website was for my dad and his software consulting business called Longstreet Consulting. The old site had pretty standard graphics was difficult to edit, and relied on table based design. I did my best to implement style sheets and other standard web practices but I didn’t know a lot at the time. It works fine, could be better. I’m working on it.
