Beyond The Epic Run, A Reality Film
In February 2000, a couple left home in Switzerland to run around the world…alone. A small crowd of friends and family gathered in the morning hours in the shadows of the Matterhorn in Sion, Switzerland. They were there to send Serge and Nicole Roetheli off with great fanfare to begin what would be an epic journey. With Nicole as his sole crew support, following him on a motorcycle towing a small trailer, Serge was setting off to run over 25,000 miles, on six continents and through 37 countries.
The Wedding Website
Instead of having fancy mail back invitations, Megan and I went for the cost effective route and drove all rsvpers to our personal wedding website, Megan Meets Joe. The first page leads off with a strange story about socks, it’s the story of how we met. And, I’m a web designer and I couldn’t stand to put our information on one of those horrid pages from The Knot.
Reboot Logo and Website
Reboot is a new online book about the history and future of the software industry. My pops, David Longstreet wrote it, and I made up a little logo and published the book online for him. It was a nice little project that took me a little longer than expected but it worked out well in the end.
Beyond The Epic Run
Beyond The Epic Run is a documentary film about Serge Roethelli, a man who literally ran around the world. It’s an incredibly inspiring story that covers themes of personal motivation, world issues, and relationships.
Burris Sports Entertainment
Bob Burris of Burris Sports Entertainment wanted a podcasting blog to promote his consulting business. He personally works with non profit sports organizations to gain partnerships for their events and promotions. Before he began working with nonprofits, his notable clients included the LPGA, PGA, NFL, and NBA.
New Urbanism
Kansas City based architectural firm 180 Urban Design & Development hosts a blog/newsspot sponsoring New Urbanism, a new concept in city planning that attempts to transform communities into walkable neighborhoods. The goal is to take advantage of downtown areas and promote small communities. 180 strives to make bicycle riding and walking to work a reality. I’ve heard that new urbanism may be coming to my hometown of Blue Springs, Missouri, I’m excited to see how it turns out.
