The Kansas City Sports Commission runs the Kansas City Marathon every year and was looking for a way to notify runners, sponsors, and fans of news and updates regarding the event. An email marketing campaign seemed to be the obvious answer.

The Social Meatia was an email marketing template developed for Kansas City based Jennings Public Relations & Advertising. Our goal was to make it as memorable as possible, so we exchanged the word ‘media’ for ‘meatia’ and went with a meat theme. Unfortunately, we had abandon this theme soon after we incorporated it.

Before he began working with nonprofits, his notable clients included the LPGA, PGA, NFL, and NBA.

180 Urban Design & Development

Kansas City based architectural firm 180 Urban Design & Development hosts a blog/newsspot sponsoring New Urbanism, a new concept in city planning that attempts to transform communities into walkable neighborhoods. The goal is to take advantage of downtown areas and promote small communities. 180 strives to make bicycle riding and walking to work a reality. I’ve heard that new urbanism may be coming to my hometown of Blue Springs, Missouri, I’m excited to see how it turns out.

Sports Commission Logo Redesign

Rejected Kansas City Sports Commission Logo

To celebrate their 20th Anniversary the Kansas City Sports Commission proposed a temporary logo redesign. Throughout the year, they would use this logo for brochures, t-shirts, business cards, and whatever other marketing materials they were producing.
