Yet another email marketing template I designed while interning at Emfluence. The client was the Bikers for Babies branch of the March of Dimes in Kansas City, Missouri. This was an easy client, they provided lots of great looking photos and a really interesting looking logo. A branding methodology was already established so all I had to do was design away. Easy a pie.

Your Wellness Connection

Another e-mail marketing template I designed while interning at Emfluence. The Kansas City based client, Your Wellness Connection, was looking for something simple and peaceful; representative of a health spa. One of the unique elements they needed to include was the “Health Tip of the Month”, where subscribers would get information about everything from the benefits of Vitamin D to new Yoga tips.

This was the first website I ever built up from scratch. It took me a lot longer than anticipated, didn’t work well at first, and was a huge challenge for me. This project probably taught me more about web design than any other, and gave me a great overall appreciation for the field.

One of my first projects at Jennings Public Relations & Advertising was some pro bono work for a Miss America pageant contestant. Kate Marie Grinold was Miss District of Columbia and my favorite to take the crown. Unfortunately there is only one winner in the competition and it went to Miss Indiana.

Before I was employed at Jennings Public Relations & Advertising I picked up some volunteer web design projects. One of the first was for my local Knights of Columbus council. They wanted something very simple where members could go to pick up the essentials (rosters, meeting minutes, etc.) and where someone looking to join a local organization in Blue Springs could find out more about the Knights.

My younger sister (16 years old at the writing of this post) is part of a rock band. So far it seems like they’re into stuff like Green Day, All American Rejects, etc., etc., etc. Hannah (my sister) is the singer in the band and recently released an album of her own which you can buy on iTunes.
